HOLY WEEK AND EASTER SERVICE TIMES 2024
Easter comes early this year - with Easter Sunday on 31st March.
Here are some details of our special services for Holy Week:
The Sixth Sunday of Lent, Palm Sunday: 24th March. Holy Week 2024 begins. There will be a procession with palms and palm crosses to take home to use in prayer, beginning at 09:30, or assemble in church as usual.
· Maundy Thursday 28th March: we hold a service at 7pm to remember the Last Supper, and then mark the disciples’ watching and waiting at the Garden of Gethsemane with a silent vigil in the Chapel of Remembrance.
· Good Friday 29th March: we hold a service of Three Hours’ Devotions 12:00 to 3:00pm including a one hour telephone linkup for Church on the Phone at 2pm.
· British Summer Time starts 2:00 am Sunday 31st March: this is the night as Easter Sunday begins, so do not be caught out.
· Easter Sunday 31st March: our Sunday begins at 6:30am with our Easter Early Service including blessing of fire and light, and renewal of our baptismal vows before the First Eucharist of Easter. At 10:00am we shall hold our main Parish Eucharist.
